Ok, a little bit about me:
I graduated from Trent University in 2006 with a degree in Anthropology and Psychology. I was on my way to becoming a teacher like my mom. After a lot of soul searching (and the crushing realization that teaching jobs in Peterborough were very difficult to come by), I decided to go back to school and become an Architectural Technologist. As luck would have it, I found my passion and am grateful that everyone else seemed to want to be a teacher!
After two years of the Architecture program at Loyalist, I worked at a steel detailing firm in Trenton as a junior draftsman. While I did learn a lot, I mostly learned that my enthusiasm did not lie in detailing bolts and plates for bridges and hospitals. After deciding to move back to Peterborough where I was incredibly lucky to get a job working for J. L. Young Design & Drafting under Laurie Young.
Working for Laurie taught me a tremendous amount about the Architectural Design field. Over 9 years, I had been able to hone my code research skills, work on some fantastic projects and learn how to become more creative with design and space planning. I also got to bring my dog to work, so that was a great perk!
I love working with clients to bring their dreams into reality. Whether it’s an addition to an existing house, a renovation of their living space or starting from scratch and designing their dream house, I am lucky enough to say I love my job.
When I’m not working, I get to spend time with my son Sebastian and our Newfoundland dog Nelly, who is quite often in the office – ready to greet clients and expects endless pets from each person she meets.

My career path has taken a few unexpected but fortunate turns, and each experience has shaped how I work and what I bring to the team at Molly Conlin Design & Drafting. Before joining the firm, I worked across the health and wellness, automotive, and biotech sectors – experiences that taught me the importance of strategy, systems, organization, efficiency, and strong communication.
As Administrative Assistant, I help keep projects running smoothly and ensure clients feel supported from start to finish. With a strong background in admin and operations, I bring a process-driven mindset that helps bridge creativity with practical systems, making our workflow as efficient and seamless as possible.
Outside of work, I recharge by doing yoga, reading, catching live music, and being an auntie.
